Pit-Line Robots
Autonomous under-frame inspection - eliminating the need for human pit entry
Autonomous mobile inspection robots that eliminate the need for human entry into inspection pits. Machine vision, robotic arms and integrated sensors deliver thorough under-frame inspection with full data logging.
Overview
CC Engineers' Pit-Line Robot is an autonomous mobile platform designed to inspect the under-frame and bogie areas of trains without requiring personnel to enter inspection pits. Equipped with machine vision cameras, a robotic arm, integrated sensors and lighting, the robot conducts systematic inspections and logs all findings to a centralised dashboard. Combined with our Smart Yard sensor network, the Pit-Line Robot forms a complete intelligent inspection solution for railway maintenance depots.
Key Features
- Autonomous navigation along pit-line tracks
- Robotic arm for close-proximity inspection manoeuvres
- Machine vision inspection for structural defects, hanging parts and surface anomalies
- Integrated obstacle detection for safe human co-existence
- Hot axle and hot wheel detection via infrared sensors
- Wheel Impact Load Detection (WILD) capability
- Acoustic bearing detection (ABD)
- Centralised data logging, dashboard and alert management
- Full Smart Yard sensor network integration
