LMRC-Alstom Metro Maintenance Simulators Ready for Use
Alstom Transport India Limited (ATIL), Bangalore, a subsidiary of Alstom headquartered in France, awarded C.C Engineers a contract for the development of simulators for the Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) project. Lucknow Metro is a rapid transit system serving the city of Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh - construction began on 27 September 2014 with the 8.5 km stretch from Transport Nagar to Charbagh Railway Station, and commercial operation began on 5 September 2017, making it the fastest built metro rail system in the country. Full operation on the Red Line from Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport metro station to Munshi Pulia metro station began on 9 March 2019. The simulators are used for training drivers and maintenance staff at the training centre housed in the LMRC depot in Lucknow.
Centre of Excellence for Loco Pilots Inaugurated at Rourkela
Indian Railways has a Centre of Excellence at Rourkela (SER) - a fresh facility created to train loco pilots, inaugurated by Shri Rahul Gautam, PCEE (SER), in the presence of Shri Vijay Kumar Sahu (DRM-Chakradharpur) and Shri Ramendra Kumar Tiwari. It is the only Indian Railway facility with two simulators in juxtaposition, featuring the E70 and CCB brake systems. Each simulator cab has SOVAC-based geo-specific visual simulation complete with signalling systems, with facilities to change weather conditions and introduce faults or obstructions, allowing instructors to provide comprehensive training through independent instructor stations. The facility also includes an observation-cum-training area, with computer-based learning software providing multimedia training on technical and driving-related aspects.

MMRDA-BEML-DMRC Visit for FAT for Mumbai Metro L2/L7 Maintenance Simulators
CC Engineers was set to deliver maintenance simulators for the Mumbai Metro Line 2 and Line 7 project. The project was headed by MMRDA, procuring rolling stock from BEML, with DMRC playing a key role in consulting and providing expert insights into the entire project. The maintenance simulators included separate simulators for 12 sub-systems including TCMS, Vehicle Control, Brakes, Auxiliaries, Traction Motors and others.
MDDTI Kanpur (NCR) Inaugurated by Hon. GM Shri. Pramod Kumar
The Central Organisation For Modernisation of Workshops (COFMOW) awarded C.C Engineers a contract for the procurement of locomotive-hauled/train simulators (on turnkey and DDP basis) at the Electric Training Centre, Kanpur. This 3-phase locomotive simulator for the WAG-9 was the first time an India-based order was placed for a motion-base 3-phase loco simulator for the WAG-9. Manufactured at the company's Pune facility using 100% local technology, the simulator was substantially less expensive than previous models and offered features far superior to existing Indian Railways simulators. It was supplied along with 12 part-task trainers, advanced computer graphics, and delivered as a turnkey project complete with building and eight years of maintenance, plus a two-year warranty period.
Hubballi Dharwad Smart City Limited Commissioned Smart Rail Mobility for Public Use
Hubballi Dharwad Smart City Limited awarded C.C Engineers a contract for the revamping and upgradation of the existing toy train infrastructure at MG Park, Hubballi, including all safety features and entertainment enhancements. As part of the project, CC Engineers also manufactured a miniature bullet train for the park, equipped with full safety features - the first toy train of its kind with an AC unit, automatic doors, air brakes and partial solar power through roof-mounted panels. The train included entertainment facilities, passenger information systems and a Passenger Emergency Communication Unit (PECU), allowing riders to stop the train and communicate with the driver - setting a new industry benchmark for toy train safety.

Chairman - Railway Board Inspected Simulators at Centre of Excellence, Rourkela
The Chairman - Railway Board (CRB), also CEO of Indian Railways, Shri V.K. Tripathi, inspected the training facilities at the Centre of Excellence for Loco-pilots set up at Rourkela (SER) on 10 July 2022. GM (SER) Ms. Archana Joshi, Principal Chief Electrical Engineer Shri Ishaq Khan, PCOM (SER) Shri P. Dansana, and CELE (SER) Shri R K Tiwari were also present. The team appreciated the excellent facilities created for loco-pilots, which consisted of simulators for two variants of the three-phase loco WAG9/WAP7 - each with an independent instructor station capable of handling independent exercises with geo-typical CGI for the zone's sections.
DMRC Team Visited MDDTI - Kanpur
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited (DMRC), a centre-state joint venture that operates the Delhi Metro and is involved in planning and implementing metro rail, monorail and high-speed rail projects in India and abroad, visited the MDDTI train driving simulator facilities in Kanpur on 18 July 2022. DMRC officers Mrs. Jaiswal, Mr. Ankit Kumar and Mr. Dwitiya Pratap Singh observed Indian Railways training in progress on the main cab simulator as well as on part-task trainers. The Chief Instructor at MDDTI, Kanpur demonstrated the operation of the instructor station.
RDSO Inspected Three Phase Simulators
The three-phase electric loco simulation and training centre at the Centre of Excellence in Rourkela was inspected on 16 July 2022 by Shri Om Prakash Kesaria, with vast experience from RDSO (Research Design and Standards Organization), Lucknow - an ISO 9001 research and development organisation under the Ministry of Railways that functions as technical adviser and consultant to the Railway Board, Zonal Railways and Railway Production Units on design and standardisation of railway equipment. The Centre of Excellence at Rourkela includes two loco simulators (E70 and CCB braking variants) along with other training software supplied by C.C Engineers. He noted the facility as extremely useful for loco pilots, especially for troubleshooting and handling emergency situations.
DRM Prayagraj Inspected Performance of Indigenous In-Motion Simulator at MDDTI, Kanpur
Electrical Training Centre, Kanpur is the premier loco-pilot training centre for the Indian Railway NCR zone, hosting an indigenously developed state-of-the-art in-motion simulator. The training centre has trained approximately 3,000 loco-pilots for Indian Railways, with simulators running continuously over three shifts to meet training demand. A team led by Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Prayagraj, Shri Hemant Badohi, inspected the facility on 5 May 2023, with Principal, MDDTI, Shri Rajat Kumar Singh, coordinating the visit and briefing the team.
